Xbox joins the 3D club

3D technology has been the latest trend across the digital entertainment world, from 3D satellite TV, to smart phones, tablets, laptops, games consoles, and more. Sony was the first company to introduce 3D gaming in this gaming generation, and Nintendo followed through in the portable market with the 3Ds. Microsoft were reluctant to join in, and never released a patch to allow their gaming platform to harness stereoscopic 3D gaming, up until now that is. In a press release by Microsoft's gaming division, it was confirmed that the upcoming update, which will be available for download soon, will contain the 3D patch, long awaited by 3D gamers, and will allow smooth stereoscopic 3D graphics to run on the 360.
