The Surface Tablet

Microsoft have officially unveiled their first Tablet, which will be going head to head with Apple's Ipad this fall. The 'Surface' tablet sports a 10.6″ HD touch screen and comes in two version, the Windows RT or the Windows 8 Pro. The RT version sports the Nvidia Tegra processor, and is approximately 9mm thick and weighs approximately 600g, with USB 2.0 ports, MicroSD support, and MicroHD video output. The 8Pro version on the other hand sports the Intel Core i5 processor, and weighs 900g and is 4mm thicker than the other version, though it sports USB 3.0 ports, MicroSDXC support, and several extra features listed in the data sheet below. Both versions come with an extremely thin rubberized flip-out keyboard (which also works as a cover), a built in pop out stand, and 2×2 MIMO antennae. Both versions of the Surface tablets will be available in several colors and memory sizes this fall alongside Windows 8.
