Steve Jobs Passes Away

Apple's entrepreneur, Steve Jobs, the man who single handedly re-imagined the world of music players, mobile phones, and PCs, and changed the way we lead our life styles forever, has passed away on Wednesday at the age 56. Jobs has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer after being first diagnosed over seven years ago. Jobs had recently stepped down from his title as Apple’s CEO after over 35 years of service, and handed the reins to Tim Cook, who just yesterday gave his first press release as a CEO. Fans, business rivals, and world leaders alike paid tribute to Steve Jobs, and celebrated his lifelong success in the world of technology. Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg described Steve Jobs as being his lifelong mentor, and as he mourned his death he thanked him for his brilliance.

Even though Jobs has passed on prematurely, his legacy will continue to live on and his brilliant work will shall survive the test of time, he shall be always remembered as one of the pioneers of the golden age of technology.

Bill Gates: “For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it's been an insanely great honor”

Barack Obama: “The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve's success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented”

From all of us at SGOM we send our condolences to all his family and friends during this rough time.
