After marking their ten year anniversary, Sony Corp. have successfully acquired Ericsson's 50% stake in the Sony Ericsson joint venture for approximately 1 billion Euros. Sony Corp. CEO Howard Stinger has announced this news during a press release earlier, stating that the company will be reimagining the mobile segment of Sony Corp. and introducing a brand new product line under a brand new name. Stinger continued by saying that Sony Corp. are aiming for a complete home entertainment solution, and with this new acquisition they can successfully create a seamless connection between all of their products and offer a wider variety of entertainment solutions to the end consumers. With a fresh new start in this segment Sony really have open a wide array of possibilities to create a perfect smartphone with Sony's best attributes, including the PSN.
