Rumors have been floating around the internet today that Microsoft might be bringing home stereoscopic 3D which is the new gaming experience currently pushed by Sony. Microsoft has been dominating all aspects of gaming this generation, and these seems to be the next step they have to take to cover all the grounds. The current console does not support HDMI 1.4, but this shouldn't be a problem for Microsoft and there won't be the need to upgrade the motherboard of the current design, because currently Sony have managed to harness the power of stereoscopic 3D gaming through the normal HDMI 1.3B. This announcement must just take place in the next E3 conferences and could be the final step Microsoft has to take to cover all grounds.
