Kazuo Hirai has just announced that PSN has just started the restoration phase. Although not all services are up and running, multiplayer functionability has been restored in selected regions in the US, other regions are to follow later today. Malta is one of the first regions that started the restoration phase this morning, and by tonight all the regions should be updated and running. Once you power on the system you will be asked to download and install the update. At this point we do not have any details when all the system features will be running as normal but it shouldn't take more than a couple of days.
