Sony Computer Entertainment have officially announced the Slim version of the Playstation Vita for the European Market. This new model will be replacing the PCH-1000 as the stock depletes.
Just like the Japanese version, the PCH-2000 will be 20% thinner and about 15% lighter, and will feature an LCD instead of the OLED. There will only be a wifi version, since sales for the 3G version of the PCH-1000 failed to impress. The EU Playstation Vita Slim will only be available in black, unlike the Japanese version which comes in a variety of colors, and will hit the shelves in the UK this February the 7th. There has been no announcement regarding a US version yet.
