After rumors circulated the internet regarding the closure of MS Vancouver, Microsoft have publicly and officially announced that MS Vancouver was not shut down, yet some lay offs have been made in order to streamline the organization and shuffle the projects being done. The free-to-play flight simulator, Microsoft Flight alongside the interactive storybook Project Columbia have both been canned, which resulted in the aforementioned layoffs. There is little or no details to what Project Columbia was in reality as after its announcement last October, the team never mention anything or revealed anything about the project. Microsoft decided instead to focus on a brand new IP, rumored to be a big of a project as Halo and Gears of War.
