HP make a U-turn

Troubled computer giant HP have just confirmed their plans of stopping all hardware production in a bid to aggressively penetrate the software market. In their official press release Hewlett Packard announced that they will be buying UK software firm Autonomy for $11.7 million, and discontinuing the production of all PCs, Tablets, and peripherals using webOS. During the press release HP spokesman said that the company is not disregarding the possibility of selling off their hardware patents and manufacturing rights to another company if the opportunity arises.
