Twelve years after banning video game consoles, the Chinese Government will be reviewing the ban and maybe even lift it. Back in the year 2000, seven ministries signed the ban on all video game consoles due to fear over young children having mental problems after exposure to games. This year the government decided to review the ban, but it will need a unanimous approval from all the ministries involved. Lifting the ban will be a fantastic opportunity for Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft to keep expanding their market, and could be very important to the success of the next generation consoles.
