The next installment in the popular Batman Arkham series has been officially announced by Warner Brothers Interactive Studios, and will be available for the PC, WiiU, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms. Batman Arkham Origins is set several years before the first chapter in the series, and the user will take the role of young Bruce Wayne. The title will feature first encounters of the Batman with several key characters from the comic book.
For the portable console gamers out there, a spin off title by the name, Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate has also been announced for the Nintendo 3Ds and Playstation Vita Consoles.
Both titles are set to hit the shelves this October and will be developed by Warner Brothers Montreal Rather than Rocksteady Studios.
