British writer Michael Lesslie has landed the role of lead writer for New Regency and Ubisoft's upcoming big screen adaptation of Assassin's Creed. Lesslie has never written a script for any feature film, yet he is credited for several short films, and both production companies see a great deal of talent in him. He will be joining the team with Michael Fessbender in the lead role who will also produce the movie. Ubisoft Motion Pictures lately have also signed on The Dark Knight Rises' Tom Hardy to star as Splinter Cell's Sam Fischer.
