Activision plans to launch the online premium service Call of Duty Elite this fall. The premium service will be available for the next installment of the franchize and the following ones yet to be released. This premium service will allow users to benefit from several content that will not be available for users using the normal service, one of which is downloadable map packs which is now exclusive for Elite members. This service will be on a monthly subscription scheme and will cost less than $7.99 a month. There will also be the introduction of Facebook integration within the online game which will allow common facebook friends to meet up on COD.
