Crytek have launched the fourth version of their CryEngine, but since numbers are too mainstream for Crytek instead of CryEngine 4 it will be titled CRYENGINE (caps are part of the branding and make sure you scream the name as you read it.. even in your head). The engine has come a long way ever since its launch back in 2009, and gave way to revolutionary new ways to creating games.
CRYENGINE will be support PC, Current and Next gen consoles, and the WiiU (which is neither current or next gen… we simply don't know what the hell it is). Alongside the announcement of the new engine, Crytek also released the tech demo, showing off the capabilities of the engine.
