Uncharted Game Director Leaves Naughty Dog

Property of Naughty Dog

It seems like Sony’s in-house development studio, Naughty Dog, cannot catch a break this year. Following the departure of Uncharted’s creative director, Amy Hennig earlier this month, Game Director Justin Richmond has announced that he too shall be leaving Naughty Dog and start a new job with League of Legends developers, Riot Games. Richmond was the game director behind Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and also worked as briefly as a game designer on the multiplayer section of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
Richmond made a statement to IGN saying;

“I have in fact made the decision to leave Naughty Dog. I love the company and the people and know that they will continue to create awesome games going forward. On a happier note, after careful consideration and exploration I have joined Riot Games. There is some really innovative stuff going on here that I can’t wait to be a part of.”

Naughty Dog have yet to make a press release regarding the matter.

My love and passion for gaming started before the love for breasts, at the tender age of four, back when consoles took hours to load, games came on tapes, and looked like the Lego man took a crap on the TV. I was raised by badgers, and through my youth I nurtured my passion for games instead of actually doing anything productive in life, but god damn it, it was worth it. I like long walks on the beach, preferably in the nude, even though it’s frowned upon, and when I’m alone I like to put on a fake British accent and make the sonic screwdriver sounds. I worked in the gaming industry for roughly seven years before starting a fresh page in the AV world and founding Some Guys One Mic
